Rebellious Attitude…Artistic State of Mind

The Edge of Arwen II

Time for the second installment of our “Edge of Arwen” experiment. As you may recall, we’re posting two photos per week, one taken by Mike (the guy) and the other taken by Jill (the girl). Based on your suggestions, we drew this week’s topic from a hat. The topic is “anger.” See if you can discern any kind of masculine or feminine “eye” and tell us whether Photo A was taken by a man or a woman. Do the same for photo B.

Ten of you responded to last week’s entry. The results were split right down the middle. Five of you correctly identified which photographer took which photo. Like we said last week, we don’t know what this means, if anything. Once we feel that this little project has pretty much run it’s course we’ll give you all the correct match ups between photographer and photos.

Thanks for participating, and let us know if you have any ideas for next weeks post.

Wow!! This is tough! I’m going to guess that Jill took Photo A and Mike took Photo B based solely on the nature of the lighting. I tend to associate harsh lighting and dark shadows with masculine qualities.

Ok. I think that the baby picture was taken by Mike and the other one was taken by Jill. Not perhaps because of the exact vision but b/c it would be more likely that the view of anger from a feminine perspective most likely reflects a male as the example where the baby is not likely to really be seen as a reflection of anger. Joe thinks that his instinct first is to say that the baby was taken by Jill and the other by Mike but feels that might be a little too obvious.
